Many people search for a general trading licence. What matters is the activity wording on your licence, not the label. Check the zone’s activity list for the exact trading activities you need, and ask whether several can sit on one licence. Do not assume a broad label will cover everything you plan to sell.

- What products will you trade, and will you import or export them?
- Do you need storage? AFZ offers warehouses as well as offices.
- Will you sell to customers on the UAE mainland? Free zone rules on this differ from mainland rules, so confirm before you commit.
- Do you also provide services? If so, check whether a second activity or licence is needed.
